Background - I am conducting the annual Zombie Apocalypse workshop (ITU intro, Basic Radio Ops, and “First Contact”) at the IEEE Rising Stars Conference in Las Vegas, NV this coming January 3rd at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. As part of the workshop, the attendees are invited to use one of the radios that will be able to reach local repeaters (W7HEN) in the Las Vegas area to make their “First Contact” under the supervision of an FCC licensed Control Operator.
