CERT Rodeo 2024 WinLink roundup and Check-In net results

I am sure that Jeff Walter will provide a more detailed Rodeo Roundup, but here is some preliminary information received:
Check-in Net ran from 0602 until 0810 when the main Simplex Net began. There were 19 voice checkins, although I did record 26 callsigns altogether during the event.

*FWIW, we were short a couple (or more) bodies. I had requests for reliefs
for which we had nobody including a medical health issue. Thanks to Lee,
wa5lee, for standing in where he could.*

*We had one or more no-shows. If somebody knew about that, they didn't
inform net control. Communications...*

*We attempted to do station checkins but response was sporadic. Listing
call signs next to shadows, etc. would have been helpful. *

*Most stations were excellent at reporting team arrivals/departures but
there were a couple that were...sporadic. I was reluctant to train over
the net with so many people listening in.*

*The comms trailer? An empty or mostly empty classroom with AC power and
an external antenna on a push-up pole would have been preferable. I
counted on the promised batteries/generator to supply power or I would have
brought a space heater.*

*But it was fun...I enjoyed the challenge.*

*Be Well,*
*Paul*

We had 30 sign ups.

23 participated on the pre-event Zoom call.

We had 26 Radio participants show up. Plus the PIO and his display in the vendor area.
