Notice: N5XO Pipe Creek Texas 2M Repeater

To all, we will be installing a new repeater this weekend to replace the one that has unfortunately come to the end of it’s usefulness. (We have borrowed a repeater from a ham in Bandera County until the new one arrive and was installed)

The new repeater will be changed to “DCS” instead of a CTCSS due to some slight interference from a Dallas repeater on the same frequency.

The new DCS info will be in place soon after the install on Repeater book and other frequency publications so persons looking for it will notice the change and set their radios accordingly.

Thank you and have a great day.

Changing tone or the type will not cause the interference to go away ..it merely masks it…the FM carrier is still present …DCS has a slower decode time than PL so users may have issues if they are quick on the PTT..

So which repeater is it???

Please drop me from the mailing list. Old age and declining health require that I curtail

things that I once enjoyed considerably.

Thanks

My apologies, apparently sent this to the wrong email.

Please disregard.

It’s the N5XO repeater in Pipe Creek. 147.120
New DCS tone 131
It just arrived; should be installed this weekend.
Thanks to Mike for the loaner repeater; thanks to Joe and Ed for help getting the replacement repeater.
