I disagree. The cert is only a piece of paper. Submit your info and date of attendance to your local
RACES/ARES rep for recording, or if you are in TX include it into your personal record on Preparingtexas.org.
I know of no instance in my years where I have been asked to produce a cert from attendance to SKYWARN.
After the 4 hour class, the Representative from NWS gave us a card with sizes of hail, etc on one side, and on the other, the direct line number and that was it. The EC got a roll call of Hams that showed up to class and that, also, was it. No certificate.
For all I know, it might have been both courses combined. We had a 15 min break.
