[stxares] TexLa Weather Update - 11/4/22

I do think it is reasonable to ask about over warning a potential storm.

Impact on activities vs risk. How many people are warned. Whether too many warnings may cause people to be complacent about the warning they need to listen to.

With respect to the forecast - in this case the storm/front did result in severe weather:

https://www.foxweather.com/weather-news/tornadoes-wind-damage-texas-oklahoma-november-4

Tornado damage in Hopkins County, Texas.

Tornado Damage in Hopkins County Texas

And Lamar County has declared a disaster with at least 10 injured.

and last check we have 34,000 customers without power in Texas, and that number is over 60,000 in Arklatex.

In this case we had all the ingredients for severe weather. That does not mean it will occur, just that we have to be ready to help ourselves and our communities.

I think the view will be clearer today as reports clarify and damage is assessed.

Best
