[stxares] Winlink system in Bastrop County

I personally thank you for this. My system suffered a major antenna failure and only recently am I back on the air. I will begin practice with Winlink probably beginning September. Since I am and EDS mobile unit I really do appreciate this fine tool you have offered.

You can find the status of all the RMS Packet stations in Texas that we know of at the following url. This is provided that RMS Packet station owners have submitted their information to N5TW or myself, N5TIM.

My wish is that someone would put a Ledgen on the page for the symbols V, v, P, R, M, H, S, Y.

Thanks

Yea, there are many of those systems on
http://n5tw.ecpi.com/rmsstatus/ that are dead/unresponsive in Bastrop. KG5EHU-10 at St Davids operates as a digi only. The RMS call does not work. Give it a try sometime, you can hit it from N5TW-5 or -12 using as an AFSK 1200 digi. The BASRLY-* digis have been dead for some years now.

George,
Without any previous email info, I have to ASSUME you are talking about columns M and R on the TX RMS Packet VARA FM web page…

It is not well known, but if you hover your mouse over the M or R a pop-up shows up…

Here are screenshots of the Mouser Over Info…

buy/build one and start tinkering with it. This is a learn-by-doing hobby.
