I agree. At least for me, it was tough to hear (signal was varying a lot).
In spite of it all – GREAT JOB!
One suggestion – Net Control consider speaking slower in these conditions.

Thanks to all for the compliments! I try to do the best I can given the usual HF circumstances… (Bear in mind, I come from the world of Dispatch, where most traffic is clean and clear)
As far as speaking slower, as it is, last night the Net ran an hour. As much as I would like to slow down, I must keep Net Brevity in mind. I am actually more verbose than most NCS stations; although I have the ability to act like a PD/FD/EMS Dispatcher, I try to be a bit more ‘enthusiastic’ when I run my HAM nets.
Catch me sometime running a Net in a true emergency, and you will see the difference.
But for the weekly ARES net, I try to keep it semi-fun. As opposed to same-old, same-old.
Truth be told, last night was rough, what with running NetLogger and over 110 checkins. I kinda ran outa steam towards the end.. ![]()

I like your style .. retired ff/ emt I get it ..
Lee,
I am pleased that others have recognized your efforts, as well.
Regarding your oral communication rate, I find it just fine.
I will say that I am not simultaneously transcribing, but please keep it quick and cordial.
Your ability to recognize individuals with weak and broken snippets of sound is fascinating to me.
For my 2 cents worth, please keep up the good work, as is,
Respectfully,
George Young

Hi Lee
I’ve always enjoyed your nets. Last night I was monitoring the net with a 2 meter roll up J pole antenna on the HF side of my radio, and I think you did great! Occasionally I’ll set up a 40 or 80 meter inverted V outside, but its a lot of work to do for several events each week.
