Hello to All
My name is Thurman Roberson (Robby) I been an Amateur Radio operator since June 1990
Just to give you a little bit of my background I was the Training Director for Army Mars under then Chief Army Mars Bob Sutton. I started using digital with packet bulletin boards then switched over to Aplink with Victor Poor (SK) then switched over to Winklink Classic v 1dk then winlink started progressing from there to what it is today what I ask of all stations if you are operating any kind of digital station please send an email to N5TW so your station can be added to the Texas RMS Packet/VARAFM Station Uptimes it is very helpful and useful in the time of need with hurricane season vastly approaching all stations are in need all members and non members of south are encouraged to list there stations
Thank you
Robby/AA5AF

I appreciate Robby posting this! Just to clarify, we track RMS Stations across Texas with the results shown here:
If a Winlink RMS station is active, it will show up on the Winlink.org station status page but that is a rather tedious way to see if a station is active. What our website (created by my bride Judy) does is to look up status information on all stations on our list and displays their status all in one place.
John N5TIM maintains the list of North Texas stations and I maintain the list for South and West Texas.
As Robby said, having stations on this list helps let others see what stations might be active.
If you run an RMS station in South Texas and are not on this list, you can send me an email with your station’s information. Specifically, here is the information I need:
- County
- Station callsign plus SSID
- Frequency
- Digipeater callsign if any
- User Winlink callsign for others to direct Winlink emails to your station
- Any short comment you would like displayed

Thanks for having an Express station but what we are trying to collect is information on the RMS Packet or RMS VaraFM stations in operation in Texas. Sorry for the confusion.

I am the Trustee for W5PAS. We have a packet and VARA station at the Pasadena EOC
Harris County
W5PAS-10 Packet 145.050
W5PAS-12 VARA FM 145.050
W5PAS-5 Digipeater 145.050
Winlink Callsign is W5PAS but not monitored regularly
Perfect – does that digipeater work for both packet and VARA FM?
***Folks – please correspond with me through tom.n5tw at gmail.com so we don’t torture this whole list with this traffic ***
Tom N5TW
W5PAS-5 is packet only
Roger.

Everyone can now see the Pasadena EOC stations on the Texas RMS Status website.

Tom,
I do not have a digipeater setup NB5C-5.
